Chapter 22 – It’s A Good Idea To Stretch Your Legs Sometimes

“Stop… hmm… swinging the ship…” Flamiris muttered in her sleep, trying to squeeze Narias tighter, so she wouldn’t ‘fall’ off.

Huh? A ship? Oh, she must be still dreaming. Does that mean she used to travel on a ship? Narias wondered, staying silent.

Narias woke up a while ago, not being surprised to find Flamiris lying on him. Well, he knew Flamiris was lying on him before he fell asleep and he didn’t think much of it. Narias was tired himself and he also wanted for Flamiris to get a good rest too, so he didn’t mind. But now, when everyone except Flamiris was awake, it offered a different kind of picture for people to interpret what was going on between the two.

“Huh? Wha… yaaawwn…” after a short while Flamiris has finally woken up, pushing herself up with one hand while rubbing her eyes with another. “That was a nice… huh?”

“Good morning,” Narias said with an added smile, with Flamiris staring directly in his eyes, their faces being less than a foot away from one another. Narias started feeling uncomfortable when Flamiris’ stayed where she was, not wanting to break the eye contact for some reason. Suddenly, she snapped out if, her cheeks changing color to bright red.

“H… hey, what do you think you’re doing, lying under me?” She pulled away, pointing her finger at Narias’s face and ending up in a seating position on top of him.

“Humph… The same thing you are doing right now while sitting on top of me,” Narias didn’t lose his cool, expecting something similar to come out of Flamiris’ mouth.

“Wha… the same thing I am…” Flamiris looked down before looking back up, realizing how it might’ve looked from his point of view. “Eeh! You… Mastermind Pervert! I will…” She raised her right hand, readying to cast a spell.

“Stop or I will have to push you away.” Narias emphasised certain words as he spoke, raising both of his hands in front of him.

“Eek! You… you wouldn’t,” Flamiris stopped her spellcasting, grabbing onto her leather jacket to cover her front with both hands.

“Try me,” Narias wasn’t joking.

“Tha… that just puts you in a bigger debt than you already are,” Flamiris declared, throwing one hand forward to point at him with a finger before retracting it back to protect her chest again.

“Me? You’re the one who’s still sitting on me. If anything, you are the one who owes me now,” Narias stated loud and clear.

“Say what? You were the one who offered to use you as my body pillow,” Flamiris wasn’t about to agree with him on who owed what to whom.

“No, I offered to share my blanket with you. You were the one who decided to lay down on top of me, or sit down like you are sitting right now.” Narias shot back at her.

“That’s… that’s because you tricked me in doing it. Yes, if you didn’t want me to sleep lying on you, you could’ve pushed me away, but you didn’t.
